Refined elegance is the name of this home’s game, and I, for one, am here for it. I’ve only recently been introduced to Marianne Simon‘s work, and I truly feel like I have years of projects to now catch up on. The woman has an eye for design unlike any I’ve seen in some time, and I find myself getting lost in the simple, yet infinitely elegant details each of her projects has to offer. From the arched metal clad front doors, to the vintage powder room console table turned vanity, there is so much to love, and I encourage you to take a deep dive.

This home is absolutely beautiful, and indeed refined. Scrolling through, I do notice a couple of functionality errors (the bar height stools used rather than counter height, the dining bench does not properly tuck beneath the table). In both instances, although they look nice, the diner would be extremely uncomfortable. With design, I think it is oft important to not only worry about aesthetics.
Being on both sides of the design and press realm, I tend to ignore those small details in photos. More often than not they’re staged for the photo purposes, and aren’t always how the space *100%* looks (and functions) in real life
