Client Project Reveal: #LLprojectSS

In my world, my passions are two-fold: blogging and interior design. I’ve built my life and career out of both, and jump at the chance to flex those muscles at any given opportunity. So when Neal and Stephanie, popular Toronto based bloggers, reached out about helping bring their condo design to life, it was a resounding yes from the start. It’s been a few months now since our innitial meeting, and I’m so pleased to share the results today.  
Though it’s not always the case when it comes to interior design, the process in this instance was seamless. This couple has incredible taste, and have built a strong brand as a result. We wanted to translate their existing style – clean, fresh, and modern, with a hint of femininity for good measure – into a tangible form. Using a largely monochromatic palette, we really played up the idea of layers and textures in order to give their home life and a cozy, comfortable, welcoming vibe, while maintaining the modern and streamlined feel they know and love.

While their #jollyabode condo will be the place they call home for the next few years, it most certainly isn’t their forever home. So while we wanted to update the bones of the space, we made sure to do so where it counted (and with cost in mind), and instead focused on spending where it mattered: on pieces that could move with them when they leave.

The floors were replaced with a lovely soft grey laminate, which instantly brightened the entire place. The kitchen cabinets were painted out, the dated appliances replaced, and the bathroom given a cheerful makeover from top to bottom. It’s amazing the difference some subway tile, and a new countertop can make.
