When I was little, one of my very favourite desserts was my dad’s rootbeer float. Though it’s been a while since I’ve indulged in one, to this day that classic dessert still ranks high atop my list. A little homemade blackberry syrup mixed with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream topped with a shot of something sinful? It truly doesn’t get any better.
