If you’ve been a long time reader, you may remember my “inspiration” posts that I used to regularly pull together (you can check those out here, if interested!) The last one I did was way back in 2016, which feels like such a shame as they always brought me so much joy. Not to mention the fact that I was *pretty* good at predicting things (like the black window mullions & graphic tile posts I put together back in 2014). I think it might be high time to bring them back, but would love to know if it’s something you might be interested in! So let’s try this one as a bit of an experiment, so to speak.

Today? Today we’re going to talk about wood kitchens, which are something I find myself seriously drawn to as of late. And while I’ll always have a special place in my heart for a timeless all white beauty, the warmth and life that a hint (or a massive splash) of wood brings to a space is unlike anything else. Following are a few that are currently providing me with massive amounts of inspiration for a couple of projects I have on the go.

  2. I wrote about kitchens today, too. All in white! :) I am curious about what readers prefer – white, colour, or wood.

The kitchen with all the ironstone has me all heart eyes!

  4. IRchitect says:

Love the wood, such a shame it’s harder to keep clean!

    • It’s true! But to be honest I don’t think think it’s fair for all of us to expect everything to be completely maintenance free. Like one takes care and is gentle with their luxury car, they must take care, and be gentle with, their luxury kitchen :)

  5. Nice Kitchen Interior!! Its look so natural and peaceful!

    Hi Jacquelyn,

Can safely say I’m all here for this prediction. Absolutely adore the wooden beams in the second photo – makes the kitchen so cosy and inviting.

Not sure if a wood kitchen would be practical in my own home sadly…so I’ll have to keep admiring them from afar on Pinterest.

Looking forward to reading more from your blog!

    Best wishes,

    Emma

  7. Stone and Wood, I like the sound of it! I also love the Black Granite and Wood Combination, these two seem to clash for attention but I love each one just the same. One caution about marble in the kitchen is that marble is very sensitive to acidic products and can be damaged with vinegar, lime, lemon aid, wine or soda. The acid damage is called etching and can only be repaired by sanding with diamonds and polishing the marble floor or countertop.
