Hi Lark & Linen readers, this is Chloe from Boxwood Avenue, back with a festive handmade holiday gift idea that you can make in less than ten minutes!

If this is your first time meeting me, you can usually find me writing about country living, from scratch recipes, and of course, DIY ideas! I am an avid celebrator of handmade gifts, I believe that handmade gifts show more thought and care than a trinket bought at any given shop. Don’t get me wrong, a great kitchen gadget or Irish linen tablecloth would delight me, but when it comes to small gifts for co-workers, friends, and distant family members, I think handmade is best!

The key to a handmade gift is including a handwritten card filled with memories, love, and thought. One of the easiest handmade gifts to make is a sugar scrub or bath soak. They require very little effort, and can be customized in endless ways.

Now that it’s winter, I enjoy long soaks in the bath. Bath soaks and bubbles can be very expensive, and when they are so easy to DIY, I find it silly not to!homemade lemon sage bath salts

Evaporated milk always makes for a wonderful soak, and Epsom salts are a great way to cleanse your body. I keep a steady supply of essential oils on hand so that I can customize my bath soaks to fit my needs. This Epsom bath soak smells of fresh lemon and sage (in honor of #SagetheGoldendoodle), and takes less than ten minutes to prepare. Enjoy!
