My “One Piece, Two Looks” series is always a fan favourite, but for whatever reason it’s been eons since I’ve pulled one together. When I stumbled upon this insanely gorgeous antique Turkish Hereke rug (dating back to the 20th century!) on Doris Leslie Blau, I knew that needed to change. Instantly. I mean, this beauty is moment of silence worthy. And while at first glance it feels very soft, pretty, and whimsical, I knew that, paired with the right pieces, it could work just as well in a bolder space. I always love when one piece can inspire two drastically different looks, so naturally I went forth and designed just that. I’d love to know, which do you prefer? I keep flip flopping depending on my mood, but ultimately I think all things whimsical have sealed the deal for me!
