Valentine’s Day Afternoon Tea

tea party
I’m of the variety that looks for any and every excuse to celebrate. The one thing you’re guaranteed to find in my fridge at any given moment is a chilled bottle of champagne. I mean, you never really know when the need (or urge) to pop some bubbles will strike, and one simply needs to be prepared, you know? I came to the realization long ago that we’re only here for a brief moment of time, so we’d better make the most of it while we can, am I right?

I know that Valentine’s day gets a bit of a bad wrap amongst some, but if you ask me, it’s just another excuse to consciously celebrate all of the relationships in your lives – romantic and otherwise. I adore my boyfriend, that goes without saying, but my girlfriends hold such a special place in my heart – one that could never be fulfilled by anyone else, and making them a priority is a must. So when my friend Gaby approached me about putting together a Valentine’s Day afternoon tea party for the girls, it was a bit of a no brainer.

Sweet treats, delicious eats, incredible cocktails, warm tea, and all things over-the-top-girly were abundant. Basically? It was the best way to spend an afternoon, and if you have a chance to throw your own mini Galentine’s day party (if you will), I highly recommend it. With photos hailing straight from Heidi Lau‘s lens, check out our party in all of it’s glory below. And be sure to head over to Gaby’s blog, The Vault Files, for more! We’ll be sure to share all our DIY’s, recipes and the like in the coming days.
