Project Augusta: The Reveal

Project-Augusta_2

I won’t lie, I was hesitant to share these photos as they really don’t do this space justice. I took them myself after installing everything over the holidays, and in retrospect I really should have hired a professional. The sun had begun to set, and the natural light was admittedly not my friend. That being said, I am so in love with how everything turned out, that I decided to check my ego at the door. While the photos themselves may not exactly be Pinterest worthy, I’m sharing them all the same in hopes that some of the beauty comes through, and inspires any potential living room/kitchen spruce ups of your own.

Located in the heart of the city, you may remember where we first began (right here). My adorable client, and her sweet as pie boyfriend, enlisted my help to pull together their bare as bones living room, and spruce up their open concept kitchen. So that’s exactly what I did. With a blush and navy palette as a jumping off point, I made sure to infuse more modern elements (and touches of black) to help ground everything. While the room itself is stunning in its own right, the shining star of the show lies in the textiles. A medallion print rug anchors the space, while a combination of ikat and block print pillows seal the deal. Bridging the gap between modern and traditional, casual and formal, the results are ones I’m certain I’ll be proud of for years to come.
