There’s no question that my former role as editor for SMP Living came with a handful of really cool opportunities. I mean, one time I had the pleasure of interviewing Molly Sims. MOLLY SIMS! Did you know her guilty pleasure is eating an apple? When I eat an apple I typically applaud myself… but I digress… And though I’m not a mother, I was also given the opportunity to chat motherhood with Tamera Mowry, which was kind of beyond. But high atop my personal list of fabulous folks I got to connect with was interior designer Kishani Perera. I’ve long admired Kishani’s work for her bold use of colour, pattern and texture, but I have to admit that this more subdued home takes the cake. Located in the Pacific Palisades in California, this beautiful spanish home from 1928 boasts a subtler Kishani touch, but one that I’m nonetheless obsessed with. From sweeping staircases, to intricate mosaics, to hammered farmhouse sinks and beyond, I have a feeling every last room in this baby is bookmark-worthy.
