The Post that Got me the Job at SMP Living

As my time with SMP Living comes to a close, I’ve been slowly dotting all of my i’s and crossing all of my t’s. You know the drill: a deep computer cleanse, sorting through emails, filing away this and that. And during my operation organization, I came across the test post I created two years ago while interviewing for the position. And funnily enough, it all still rings true! Here’s the post that landed me a truly incredible job:

Being in the Interior Design field, there’s no question that I stay on top of trends from season to season. A souk rug here, some brass hardware there, it’s a constant hunt for what’s up and coming on the market. That being said, when it comes to designing for the long haul, I’m a big proponent of keeping it classic and often draw inspiration from my daily finds (hello, Pinterest!) A bright white kitchen, a deep farmhouse sink and open shelving displaying timeless pieces is a surefire way to ensure your kitchen will stay on point. With a few key components, it’s not difficult to bring your space from humdrum to handsome for years to come.
