Bits & Pieces of Petitely

Truth be told, Megan’s blog Petitely is a relatively new find of mine, but it has quickly risen to the top of my list of daily reads. In fact, when I did stumble upon it, I admittedly spent hours poring through her archives. The girl has talent. One look and you’ll see exactly what I mean. For bits and pieces of this sweet lady, be sure to read on…

::A random fact::
I don’t know how to ride a bike! I know, what a shame…but I have plans to learn soon!

::Your go-to recipe::
I love making toasted almond granola, especially in the autumn.

::Currently coveting::
All things Cuyana, particularly the boyfriend shirt + leather tote for a perfect beach day!

::Your daily reads::
I [unfortunately] don’t have a reading routine, but when I’m on the web my go-to blogs to surf lately are Note to Self, A Daily Something, The Fresh Exchange & Besotted. I get sucked into BuzzFeed here and there, but the best reads are always my friends’ personal blogs. In print I’m currently reading Quiet by Susan Cain.

::On your playlist::
Oh, there are too many to list. A few tunes on repeat are Featherstone – The Paper Kites, Dirt Road Anthem [remix]- Jason Aldean feat. Ludacris, Wildfire – John Mayer & Carried Away – Passion Pit. My music selection really depends on how I’m feeling in that moment in time. One evening I’m sipping tea to Gregory Alan Isakov, the next morning I’m car dancing to Taylor Swift.

::On your night stand::
If I had one right now, it’d have my fave Anthropologie candle, current copies of Martha Stewart Weddings, Kinfolk, and Verily magazines, my phone & jewelry case.

::Your favourite designers::
Besides my rockstar boss, Claudia? I’m a sucker for Chanel, Tory Burch, and Vera Wang. I think Jamie + Chelsea at Sugar Paper are goddesses to the world of stationery design, and I’m in awe of graphic designers like Amanda Jane Jones who make publications I love come to life. Also, Jessica Hische is awesome.

::One thing you wish to accomplish in your lifetime::
All my closest friends can tell you that at the heart of it all, I want to be a mom. I realize there are probably more challenges that come with parenthood than I can ever imagine, but I’ll own it. I sincerely want to raise kids and have a family one day.

::Your dream home::
Oh, dear. I fear I have many dream homes, haha. I’d love a quaint cottage-style home with shutters and a nice porch equally as much as a modern home with industrial accents and some exposed brick walls. No matter the house, I dream of strung cafe lights all around the backyard, porch, etc. I love lights!

::Your happy place::
I love hosting a good group of friends at a dinner party, but because of my nature this can actually be quite draining. Going to a concert or on a drive with the music blaring makes for a great escape, but most nights I prefer a meaningful conversation or a book/mag coupled with a cup of tea + a good playlist.

    Megan is the rockstar here at Fig. 2. I count my lucky stars to have her on my team and truthfully, I’ve never met a more sincere person. Her passion for helping others and being true to herself inspire me on a constant basis. Regarding her blog, simply put it is an online replica of her: cute, well done, and with bursts of her personality. Love her to pieces.
