I’m back!

I’m back and posting on a Sunday, no less – that’s how much I’ve missed you guys! I have to say, the last two weeks have been exceptional – even better than I could have imagined. There’s even been talks of relocating to Scotland for the long haul, but we’ll see ;) I just wanted to pop in to share a few sneak peeks of whats to come in the coming days (so. many. pictures. apologies in advance). And I wanted to wish my Canadian friends a happy Thanksgiving!

xx & thanks for hanging in there during my absence

Oh I cannot wait to see the rest! Could you also share how you save up for trips?

    • Jacquelyn says:

      Hey Juley!
I don’t have any ground breaking tips in terms of saving up for these types of things. I’ve always been a saver, putting away 1/3 of each paycheque in a “do not touch” fund which, admittedly, gets dipped into here and there if an opportunity for travel arrises. Other than that, I do a ton of research before leaving to try to find deals, coupon codes and the like. There are some pretty great resources out there (like AirBnB for example) that can help you save a buck or two while you’re away.

When it comes down to it, travel has always and will always be a huge priority for me. I find a way to make it work whether it means no shopping for months on end to save those extra pennies, or getting creative with ways to spend my time, figuring out activities that don’t cost much in the meantime. Right now I’m in a position where these things are a little easier for me. I don’t have any kids, I don’t have a car, or a mortgage or any real financial responsibilities other than rent (and living). I know that this won’t always be the case
