They say that the cure to anything is salt water: sweat, tears or the sea – and I don’t believe that truer words have ever been spoken. The moment in which I feel most at peace is when I’m surrounded by water, which might explain my attraction to this Cape Town bungalow. While I’d never turn down any variation of a bright white space, it’s these views in particular that are really drawing me in. Void of any unnecessary clutter, stripped down to its bones, allowing the views to speak for themselves, I can’t imagine a more tranquil space to pass my time.

LOVE this post from Style Files!
I actually lived in Cape Town for 3 years and this area/house was about 10minutes from home.
I heart Cape Town
xx
WOw!! that’s incredible! I’ve been DYING to make my way there. One day!
Ah!
How I share your feelings, Jacquelyn, the view…
… and the sound of the sea…
… secrets of serenity…
… is it for sale? :-)
We should inquire :)
I’d give anything to spend a little time there. So beautiful and calming!
I agree. Just looking at the pictures makes me feel more at ease!
omg, I adore this bungalow!!! This is my new ideal for a cottage!
I also feel most at peace when I’m by water, especially a beach.
That doesn’t surprise me one bit! We are two peas in a pod
This space is so beautiful. Like you, I love the stark white design, such a pretty contrast to the sea!
every week, you come up with something more beautiful than the last! this is absolutely amazing and i am now dreaming of a holiday home just like this one day. the white space and light are my absolute favourites :) xx
That’s really sweet – thank you!
Wow, I want to move right in! How clean and bright and serene! Love the exposed beams and planks in the ceiling and how everything is painted white.
I so agree! I only imagine the sea would not be nearly as vibrant if the rooms weren’t all painted out in one even colour. The white and blue makes for a wonderful combination
I spotted this house and bookmarked it, too! The question is, when can we go??
I’ve been asking myself the same question all day!
i’m so wanting to take a trip to the east coast!
What a beautiful place, like you said it’s tranquil and simplistic. I feel rested just looking at it!
I love this….it’s beautiful.
