house envy: crisp & clean

source

It’s no secret that I have a weakness for interiors decked out in neutral palettes. And I’m well aware that this isn’t the first time that I’ve gushed over ones perfection – claiming that this time, really and truly, I’ve found my dream home. I suppose I should go on record and say that there is just so much talent out there and I’m not sure I’ll ever really, truly be able to narrow down my very favourite. I’m constantly overwhelmed by the beauty that exists in this world and this home is no exception. I never thought a space void of colour of any kind could exude a sense of warmth and welcome, yet this home manages to do just that. The combination of black and white utilized in this particular space is refreshingly crisp while the mixed wooden accents make this house feel like a home.

Beautiful home, love love love the wood!

  3. This is beautiful. However I could never keep everything looking this neat and clean for very long! In my fantasy world I would live in a house where everything is white and sleek like this. In reality, I would crave color and patterns way too quickly. It’s lovely though, very well designed.

haha I totally understand! It’s definitely a specific look and not for everyone. I think eventually I’d crave some pattern myself – but I have design ADD

Oh I am a sucker for a neutral pallets as well. When beautiful tones of wood are added it gives it warmth, if all of the wood was replaced with metal the house would have a completely different feel. Good find!

The wood pieces of furniture work well against the neutral whites. I also like the white and black floors it’s not common to mix the two together. I’m drawn to the stairs, nice. Great find!!

good eye! I actually didn’t notice that at first glance but that’s probably a good thing – they’ve made it work so well

  6. I completely agree! I love neutral homes like this, and I’m just the same – I always claim that I have finally found my dream home! x

I think it’s finnnne to have multiple “dream homes.” I do anyway. ;) I love those sleek black floors and beautiful table in the kitchen. Regarding a neutral color palette, I’m always drawn to homes of whites, greys, and creams but end up with lots of color in my own home. I think I’ve finally established that I like a neutral foundation, and then pops of color in accessories and art.
