In comparison to last weekend, this weekend was extremely productive. We’ve finally launched operation-get-bedroom-decorated and I’m excited to announce that we’ve made quite a bit of headway already. Apart from staining side tables and picking up bits and pieces around the city, I snuck in a pitcher of sangria with a girlfriend, and headed out to see the documentary Jiro Dreams of Sushi (which I highly recommend, by the by). It’s all about balance, you know? Happy monday you guys!

IKEA huh – oh, one can really get sucked in there! :-) Lovely pics!
oh you’re telling me! I always spend three times more than my intentions when I make my way there
very excited to see what you’re doing with your room :) Based on the rest of your place, I know it’s going to be amazing!!
thanks Vic! I have a quick preview coming up this week so stay tuned ;)
p.s. Those yellow tulips are fantastic!!
Sounds lovely, as usual.
Rumor has it, Ikea is coming to KC. * happy dance *
wait. hold the phone. you don’t have ikea?!
What do you sit on?
What do you eat your food off of?!
*flaberghasted*
I have never been brave enough to stain anything! Anytime I re-vamp furniture in my house it gets a coat of paint…such the easy way out.
this was my first time staining anything and it was really fun! No more difficult than painting, I swear. It just smells a lot more is all – and leaves you questioning how many brain cells you killed off (even when doing it outdoors!)
Oooh I spy DIY! Can’t wait to see the finished staining project!
Happy MOnday!

I’m DYING to see “Jiro Dreams of Sushi” – hearing that you liked it only makes me want to see it more! Glad to hear you had a productive weekend!
