Rachel, from Elephantine, is one blogger that I’m particularly partial to. Her posts are always eloquently written, and absolutely stunning to gawk at. Her photography skills are unparalleled by many, and her Fiction Friday series has quickly become a favourite of mine. Not only has she created what I would consider a miniature online sanctuary, but she also runs the sweetest kitchen shop and posts the most delicious recipes (many of which I have made in abundance myself). I feel confident when I say that you’ll adore her as much as I do. Without further ado, here are some bits & pieces of Rachel…
::A random fact::
I use to take ballet lessons when I was little, and I secretly want to enroll again.
::Your go-to recipe::
Baked Mac and Cheese. It’s classic comfort food, but I like to mix in a little broccoli for a healthier version.
::You can’t live without::
My camera! I get such pleasure out of capturing the world around me.
::Currently coveting::
I’d love to own this sugar + cream set from Pigeon Toe. (No. 1)
::Your daily reads::
A few of my current favorite blogs are Eat Drink Chic, Curious Casa, Pretty Light, and La Buena Vida.
::On your playlist::
I listen to a lot of The Beatles, Girl Talk, and Rufus Wainwright.
::Your favourite quote::
“Some people care too much. I think it’s called love.” – A. A. Milne
::On your night stand::
Will Write for Food by Dianne Jacob, and Hotel Honolulu by Paul Theroux. (No. 2)
::Your favourite designer::
Phillip Lim. I would love to have a closet full of his clothes. (No. 3)
::In your wishing well::
To write & publish a novel or collection of short stories. I’ve wanted to be a writer since I was really young. My Fiction Friday blog posts are an effort to get a little closer to this goal. (No. 4)
::Your dream home::
A bright, open kitchen and a yard with a small vegetable garden. I love modern homes that also manage to feel cozy. (No. 5)
::Your happy place::
Cuddling on the couch with my husband and German Shepherd.

Oh my goodness. Now she’s just down right awesome. I feel inspired to build my photography skills now.

Such a good A.A. Milne quote.
What a great feature. I’ve wanted to be a writer since forever too. One day I swear I will publish that novel I’m always talking about. ;)
