Dessert Recipes Tasty Treats To Snack On

Whipped Cream Hearts

With Valentines day on the approach, there’s no denying that many of us love on the brain. This past weekend I stumbled upon a really cute engagement photoshoot that incorporated whipped cream hearts and hot chocolate (hello you glorious combination).  By spreading said whipped cream out on a parchment paper-lined cookie sheet, freezing it and using heart-shaped cookie cutters to cut out little frozen hearts, I quickly made my hot chocolate just that much more seasonally appropriate. And in case you’re wondering, whipped cream hearts do make your hot chocolate taste better (as if you needed to ask).

ps. here’s a great hot chocolate recipe
and this is my favourite store-bought variety (pricy, but worthwhile)

oh my goodness!! This is one of my favorite things I’ve seen! I am going to try immediately upon going home.
My husband and I make these spanish lattes that are like spicy coffee liquor drinks with whipped cream and I always make from scratch whipped cream for these treats… I KNOW the heart cut out will be a hit!
