bits & pieces of A Piece of Toast

You may remember my bits & pieces of Molly from not long ago, and today I’m thrilled to introduce you to her other half, Sally. In case you missed it the first time around, you should really consider hopping on over to their blog A Piece of Toast. A collaborative space between two of the sweetest, wittiest, most stylish sisters I may have ever “met”, I feel confident when I say that I guarantee you’ll adore them as much as I do. And here are some bits and pieces of Sally…
::A random fact::
I am the oldest to 8 other siblings.  Our youngest brother is just 7 years old.  People’s jaws kind of drop when they learn this.  Growing up was crazy fun and even now when we go home for the holidays there is never a dull moment.  Christmas is much more fun with children around:)

::Your go-to recipe::
Oh gosh… that definitely changes depending on my mood/cravings.  Lately I have been making a lot of these balsamic roasted brussel sprouts that have dried cranberries, prosciutto, and pecan halves.  They are literally amazing.  Who knew vegetables could be so addicting.  Here is a similar recipe here, just add the prosciutto!  (No. 1)

::You can’t live without::
My iPhone.  I wish it were something else, but these days its that.

::Currently coveting::
A new pair of tennis shoes.  I have a pair of Mizunos that are amazingly comfortable, but I’ve had them for two years.  You know when you get that feeling that you’d like to own a brand spanking new pair?  I have my eyes on some Nike LunarGlides.  They just look cool and come in such fun colors. (No. 2)

::Your daily reads::

People.com is definitely where I stay in touch with the celebrity world.  Other than that I visit about a million different blogs a day.  Including lark and linen of course:)  I am about ten issues behind on In Style, so when I get the chance I like to catch up on reading those as well.

::On your playlist::

Lately its been The Black Keys, Avett Brothers, and Mumford and Sons.  My boyfriend is always good at introducing me to new songs.

::Your favourite quote::
“Go confidently in the direction of your dreams!  Live the life you’ve imagined.”  I am a big dreamer and I find that if I dream enough, they’ll come true.  Currently, I am lucky enough to be living the life I’ve imagined.  I have no complaints:)

::On your night stand::
A sculpture of a yellow tufted chair from my mom, a stack of books, a pretty picture frame, and a lamp.

::Your favourite designer::
 I have a small obsession with all things Hermes.  Everything they create is beyond beautiful and timeless.  I love the history behind the company, too.  I cherish my orange “H” bracelet that my mom gave me for my golden birthday a few years ago.  I would love to someday add a pale pink one to my collection (of one). (No. 3)

::In your wishing well::
Moving to a new city where I hardly know anyone – hopefully San Francisco.  And travel abroad for a summer. (No. 4)

::Your dream home::
A big white kitchen, lots of windows, mostly neutral furniture, a little bit of lucite, amazing artwork, family photos, and shelves and shelves of books. (No. 5)

::Your happy place::
Either in my bed or at home with my family.  There is nothing better than being home.
