Last week, while perusing the interwebs for interesting appetizers for our housewarming party, I stumbled upon this recipe* for apple, cranberry, sage bites. Seeing as they were quite different from what you typically expect in the form of an appetizer (read: prosciutto wrapped asparagus or pigs in a blanket), I immediately decided that these guys needed to be present. Since apples are at their tastiest at this moment, I had no doubt that the results would be delicious (and somewhat festive!) The combination of the sweeter ingredients set against the tartness of the goat cheese was absolutely divine. I was not the only one who thought so as they were the first to be devoured. As an added bonus, they were pleasing to the eye and looked great atop our table (yes, this makes me happy, don’t judge).
*I used goat cheese spread on the cracker instead of parmesan as the recipe recommends. It was a great combination! Also, I topped them with a hint of sea salt and cracked black pepper. Yum.

YUMMY! Sounds like a great combination of flavours.
they were really delicious! Highly recommend
Ok…. share your secrets… do you have amazing natural light in your kitchen/home or just wicked good camera setting skills? My indoor shots ALWAYS leave me disappointed and sad… let me know and I’ll be your best virtual friend!
xxoo
WAIT! I thought we established we were already virtual best friends…
Also, these were taken during the day on Saturday (and we face south so the light is great!) My night pictures are pretty sad looking though…
YUM! I love the combination of goat cheese with a sweet topping. And they’re beautiful too!
goat cheese goes with everything, lets be honest haha
These look and sound amazing ~ I love finding unique ideas for appetizer platters ~ the usual round-up can feel so stale
I’m not going to knock a solid prosciutto and asparagus finger food – but it’s nice to test out something new here and there. I went to a party not long ago that had deep fried risotto balls. It was like angels on my tongue
angels on my tongue – love it!
Looks so unique!
This sounds so yummy – they are on the my list for the next party we have! x
These look amazing, I love the photos! Great site, I shall be back! Thanks for sharing.
