scenes from my weekend.

The weather was just starting to warm up and feel like spring when it decided to take a turn for the worst. The majority of the weekend was filled with rain (and snow!) which gave us the perfect excuse to do almost nothing.

On Friday, we celebrated my cousins recent engagement which was an event that ended up lasting well into the night (or early morning, really). Waking up to grey skies and miserableness outside on Saturday allowed us to spend the majority of the day in our pyjamas, without feeling guilty. We contemplated putting real pants on to head out to dinner and a movie, but opted to stay in with a rented one instead. A wise choise, methinks.

Sunday was topped off with brunch with my girlfriends at a local hotspot, Gilead. With shelves lined with homemade preserves and compotes, as well as crème fraîche brought in from the chef’s own farm, it made for the prettiest (and tastiest) spot to linger and catch up with some of my favourite people.
